Privacy Policy

Sygnoos LLC ("we", "us", or "our") built Filemorph as a commercial application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our iOS application Filemorph (the "App").

1. Our Privacy Commitment

Filemorph is designed with privacy at its core. All file conversions and processing happen entirely on your device. Your files are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party service. We do not collect personal data, usage analytics, or crash reports.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We want to be clear about what we do not collect:

  • No personal information (name, email, phone number, address)
  • No usage analytics or behavioral data
  • No crash reports or diagnostic data
  • No device identifiers or advertising IDs
  • No location data
  • No tracking cookies or similar technologies
  • No contacts, calendar, or other personal data from your device

3. On-Device Processing

All file conversions — including image, video, audio, PDF, and document operations — are performed locally on your device. Your files never leave your device during processing. Converted files are stored in the App's sandboxed documents directory and are accessible only to you.

4. Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device to provide its features:

  • Conversion History: A record of your recent conversions for quick access. This data is stored locally and can be cleared at any time from the App's settings.
  • User Preferences: Your settings, presets, and favorites are stored on your device.
  • Temporary Files: During conversion, temporary files may be created and are automatically deleted after processing completes.

5. AI Model Downloads

The App offers optional AI-powered features such as image enhancement, upscaling, colorization, and noise reduction. These features require Core ML models that are downloaded on-demand from our servers (models.filemorph.app). When downloading a model:

  • No personal data or file content is sent to our servers
  • Only a standard HTTPS request is made to download the model file
  • Once downloaded, the model runs entirely on your device
  • Your files are never sent to our servers for AI processing

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Filemorph offers optional subscription plans to unlock additional features. All payments are processed exclusively through Apple's App Store using StoreKit. We do not collect, process, or store any payment information. Your subscription status is managed entirely by Apple. 7. Device Permissions

The App may request access to the following device features. These permissions are used solely for the stated purposes and no data is transmitted externally:

  • Photo Library: To import images and videos for conversion and to save converted files back to your library.
  • Microphone: To record audio for audio conversion features.

You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device's Settings app.

8. Children's Privacy

The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect any data, no special provisions for children's data are necessary. The App complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar international regulations.

9. Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external connection is to Apple's App Store for subscription management and to our model server for optional AI model downloads. No third-party SDKs that collect user data are included in the App.

10. Data Security

Your files remain within the App's sandboxed environment on your device. The App implements secure file handling practices, including path traversal protection and automatic cleanup of temporary files. For sensitive documents, the App offers AES-256-GCM encryption and secure file deletion features.

11. Data Retention

Since we do not collect any personal data on our servers, there is no data to retain. Data stored locally on your device (conversion history, preferences) persists until you clear it from the App's settings or delete the App. Deleting the App removes all locally stored data.

12. Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal data, traditional data subject rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) do not apply to server-side data. However, you have full control over all data stored locally on your device and can clear it at any time through the App's settings.

13. International Users

The App does not transfer any personal data across borders. All processing occurs on your device, making the App compliant with international data protection regulations including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
